TRX Suspension Training Professional Package

Posted on 09 November 2011 by Travis Luta

If your like me I had never had any experience with suspension training or with suspension exercise straps. So, it was a surprise when I found out the TRX Suspension Pro Pack was the product I would be reviewing.

But, needless to say I was open for the challenge and actually excited because I have read (previous TRX Review of Standard Trainer) and seen the results they can produce which is very dramatic and quick muscle gain, increased flexibility, core strength increase to say the least. The guy I knew used the first version of the TRX Suspension straps along with the Jungle Gym XT and got very ripped, so I was anxious to see what I thought.  more…

I consider myself a pretty athletic guy since I train for MMA, Jiujitsu, Muay Thai, and Taekwondo in the past so I figured I would get the hang of these pretty quickly. However, it is so simple I don’t think there is any skill at all to get used to these. I think a computer geek could start working out with these in less than 3 minutes so don’t worry about a learning curve because there isn’t one.

What Is Included In The TRX Pro Pack?

  • Suspension Trainer (P2)
  • 65 Min. training Video (DVD)
  • 36 Page Workout Guide
  • 2 Bonus Workouts (not DVD’s but are on paper)
  • Mesh Workout Bag

Although the TRX Suspension Pro Pack can be used for packing on the muscle it is actually better for improving your cardio fitness and you can do this through timed sets.  You can quickly and easily go through super-sets by going from exercise to exercise very quickly.

Pro’s of the TRX Suspension Training Pro Pack

  • Extremely easy to pack up and move.  If you travel for a living then you can’t beat this gym in a box.
  • There is nothing better than stretching the muscles while you are working them.  Awesome of flexibility.

Con’s of the TRX Suspension Trainer Pro Pack

  • The price is high but if you use it then you will easily make back the investment in a year.
  • The 2 bonus workouts ARE NOT on DVD but are in the box.

In Conclusion, the TRX Suspension Trainer is a very good suspension and bodyweight training exercise system.  Although the TRX system can be used to build muscle mass this is better for cardio and maintenance training while you are away from the gym.  However, this can easily be used as your primary source of exercise if that is what you are needing.  So, in all we recommend the TRX Suspension Training Pro Pack System.

Choosing a Home Fitness Gym – Some Tips

Posted on 12 October 2009 by Travis Luta

A big advantage of owning a home fitness gym and home treadmills is having a gym always available, twenty four hours a day. Instead of working out among strangers, which some people find uncomfortable, you can exercise at home, in private. Before going to the shops or purchasing online you should consider a few points to make sure you make a wise purchase.

Things to Take into Consideration

  • What space do you have available in your home? Home fitness gyms are bulky and take up a lot of space. They also need a firm base to stand on.
  • How much are you prepared to pay? The cheapest home gyms are around 0 and the most expensive of the best quality multi-gyms more than 00.
  • Is a free weight system or a resistance system using rods, cables or built in weights right for you?

Advantages and Disadvantages of Home Fitness Gyms

With a home gym you can, of course, work out in private in your own home, the gym is always available and you won’t have to wait until someone else finishes before you can do your training. Unlike a club your home gym is never shut and once paid for you won’t have regular fees to pay. These are great advantages but consider the disadvantages as well. A home gym will be bulky and take up substantial space. Some can be quite difficult to set up. A home machine is always available and it can be easy to think ‘I’ll exercise tomorrow’ instead of getting on with it today!

Choosing a Home Fitness Gym

The most important consideration, in our opinion, is how well made the unit is. Purchasing a cheap, flimsy gym that is not going to last very long or be good for training is not a good idea. This will not save you money in the long run. Try to buy a high, quality gym made from 11 or 12 gauge steel. The better quality home gyms  have joints that are welded rather than bolted together with larger heavy-duty tubing. Look for a gym with a good warranty. Some of the higher quality home gyms have lifetime warranties but you should at least get a warranty for 3 years.

Having found a good quality gym at the right price find out how easy it will be to adjust and use. You should try to find a gym that is easy to change the type of exercise and the resistance.Taking too long or being difficult to do will easily lower your motivation for working out. Seats that are well padded and comfortable and that can be cleaned are good points to look out for in a home fitness gym. This is not just for convenience but for safety, as well padded and durable handgrips and leg presses can prevent blisters and injuries.

Conclusion

If you are buying a fitness equipment home gym don’t rush out and buy the first one you see. Home fitness exercise equipment can be expensive. If it is possible try it out at a store or gym and find out all you can about how it works. You will be investing a quite substantial amount of money so you do not want to make a decision that you are going to regret later.

Body Weight Workout: Probably, The Cheapest Workout

Posted on 12 October 2009 by Travis Luta

No Time for the Gym? If your current schedule does not allow you the time to take advantage of a gym or fitness center membership, you might want to consider the advantages of creating your own home gym. Working out at home can save you valuable time, and even money in the long term. One of the basic advantages in creatingt your very own personal home fitness center is that you have all the freedom to tailor it the way you need it. With the vast array of home exercise equipment and weight lifting machines on the market, designing a home gym is simply a matter of incorporating the tools that you will use the most. So, that means, you have to buy those equipment so that you can have your own gym? But that would be too expensive. If this is the case, then, it would be good if you just have to settle for the idea of going to the gym, right? Wrong. You can still do your own workout in your house and even without those equipment and that’s to use Body Weight Workout.

Just by the name “bodyweight workout” will for certain make you understand what it’s all about. This type of workout uses nothing but a whole lot of different styles of exercises and workouts that uses your own body weight. For instance, if you want to build those biceps of yours, you just need to perform an exercise that uses your body as weights. For now, you might already have known the basics of body weight workout because anyone who exercises without any gear or equipment uses their own body weight to exert pressure and effort. However, the bodyweight workout is now taken to another whole new level so it will make your session more fun to do and not boring and passive.

As a matter of fact, a lot of book guides have already touched on several topics about body weight workouts and the first thing you need to do is to browse them on the Internet, read a little about them and choose the one which you think is best for you. And yes, if you turn your house into a gym, you don’t need a lot of equipment. As a matter of fact, you don’t need any equipment, just your body and your common sense.
