Sports and succeeding in it is a funny thing.you can take someone who is a great athlete, yet they can’t make it.Then you might have someone who is average at best yet becomes super successful.At first look it doesn’t seem explainable.But when you look closer you see the primary reason some have success while some fail is the mind.  But why is that?In this article that is something we are going to look at more closely.

So how come the mind is so important in sports?  As a sports psychologist San Diego I have been priveleged to see first hand why this is so.First thing to realize is the fact that the stereotype of big dumb athletes is false.  Athletes are some of the brightest individuals around.  And the most successful ones use are successful because they know how to use the mind.
