Two fighters put to sleep to start UFC 100

Unbelievable. For the uninitiated, UFC 100 has been a little jarring. Tom Lawlor just executed a perfect choke putting C.B. Dollaway to sleep. That followed a beautfil arm-triangle choke by Shannon Gugerty, who put Matt Grice to sleep.

Dollaway, a runner-up on The Ultimate Fighter 7, wa considered a top prospect at middleweight but got school by Lawlor, who’s been viewed as a journyman. Lawlor was at 205 but dropped down for this fight. He’s got solid college wrestling experience and looked to be outgunned by Dollaway, who submission game is excellent. Lawlor turned the table on Dollaway went he shot in, in sloppy fashion for a takedown. Lawlor jumped into a choke and pulled guard. It took him 15 seconds to really cinch it in and finish thngs at 0:55 of the first. Referee Yves Lavigne didn’t stop the fight until Lawlor told him Dollaway was out.

"I’m estatic. I can’t believe it. A lot of people are lookingn at C.B. as one of the up and comers," Lawlor then joked that he was going to heavyweight to challenge the winner of Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir.

Lawlor was a jokester from the start of the night entering the ring to "Who let the dogs out." He was pulling Seth Petruzelli along with a leash and a bone in his mouth.

Lawlor joke when asked if he thought he would pull off a submission, "His head was out there. He’s got a big head. It just kind of fell into arms. My corner said don’t go for a guillotine unless you know you have it. I guess I knew I had it."
