Terry scores fabulous head kick KO, Trevino subs Hill

James Terry moved to 7-1 with a vicious head kick knockout of Zak Bucia. Terry, who fights out of Amiercan Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, stalked Bucia for the first minute of the fight. Bucia went down in a heap when he got nailed by the kick. Terry rushed over to the downed fight and let loose 10 punches before referee John McCarthy stepped in to stop it at 1:23 of the first.

Alex Trevino (4-0) opened the night with a victory over Isaiah Hill (4-7). Trevino submitted Hill with just over one minute left in the opening round with what appeared to be a neck crank. But it wasn’t easy. The fighters transitioned nicely trading dominant positions throughout the fight. Hill worked for a rear-naked choke with 2:30 left in the round and eventually turned it into a mount. Trevino freed himself from the predicament and eventually regained top control where he turned side control into the finishing move.
