Josh Thomson-Gilbert Melendez 2 still on for Aug. 15

Josh Thomson is planning on defending his Strikeforce lightweight
title against Gilbert Melendez on August 15, despite a radio appearance
which may have suggested otherwise.

Thomson (16-2), who suffered a
broken leg that forced him out of a title defense against Melendez (15-2) in April, said Monday on MMAJunkie
radio that his injury has not fully healed.
