Alistair Overeem pulls out of Strikeforce title bout

Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem has withdrawn from his August 15 title defense against Fabricio Werdum in San Jose, California.

Strikeforce said Tuesday that Overeem has re-injured his hand and that a replacement bout will be announced soon.

His hand became infected after an altercation at a night club in May.
