Everlast MMA Grappling Gloves Review
When I think of Everlast it conjures up images of mediocre fitness products and these gloves are no different. If you are on a budge (like myself) then these are great gloves that will work for training, but do not try to go into the ring in an actual cage fight since they likely won’t pass the rules and regulations of competition gloves.
Good For The Price
Although these gloves aren’t up there with the Punchtown MMA Gloves we reviewed a while back they are a solid pair of gloves. So, if you only have $20 to $30 to spend on MMA gloves then I wouldn’t hesitate to buy these at Amazon. However, if you have a little bit more in the budget then I would recommend the Punchtown gloves.
Quality of the Gloves & Wrist Support
One feature about these gloves when I was training with them was that the ”EverDri Technology” they talk about actually works and keeps your hands dry when sweating. I like the support you get with these gloves in the wrist area. Since they have such good wrist support I would recommend these gloves for heavy bag training as well. Some gloves don’t give your wrist the support they need so when you training on the heavy bag you are actually damaging your wrists, but these are good.
The Bad Points
When I mentioned these wouldn’t pass MMA regulations for fighting in the cage the reason is because the length of the fingers. I bought a large size and they fit extremely tight but I wore them for about 3 days (1 hour at a time) to wear them in and stretch them out. What I noticed was that the end of the fingers of the gloves don’t even come to my second knuckle and my fingers aren’t long at all! Most of the time a large glove fits perfectly when I tried gloves from Punchtown, UFC, and Combat Sports. So, I am not exactly sure if this was a design flaw or what is going on. So, be sure to keep this in mind if you decide to buy this glove.
