Valeo WV40 40-lb. Weighted Vest

I was excited to hear that I would be testing a weighted vest since I have always been a big fan of adding weight to increase the intensity of a workout. In the past I have used ankle weights and wrist weight but have never tried a weighted vest. So, when I received the Valeo weighted vest in the mail I was extremely happy with the quality. It was not made from cheap material that would tear or shred much like the ankle weights I have used in the past.

This Valeo 40 pound weighted vest is designed in such a way to distribute the weight perfectly around your core so that it help to improve cardio, strength, and speed. The material is breatheable mesh much like the UFC weighted vest we also reviewed, but it is tear resistant so you won’t have to replace it. There are 4 adjustable clips that are in the front and remove 1 lb. weights.

You will also appreciate the reinforced shoulder padding along with adjustable straps to customize perfectly for your body. The weight are broken with 20 lbs. on the back and 20 lbs. on the front so it equally distributed the extra weight throughout your core muscles. Also another nice feature of this vest is that one size fits most so it won’t be too big or too small.

You can also wear this with you normal training routine and add a few extra pounds to increase your workout intensity. You will be surprised at how just a few pounds increase will result in a much better workout! I have also worn this vest on a daily basis on the weekend to increase the calories my body is burning and by the end of the day I can tell it worked. Another friend of mine bought this to use on his Stairmaster Stepper and he quickly noticed a huge improvement in his endurance in just the first week.

If your ultimate goal is for peak strength and power whether for MMA or any other sport then this is the weight vest for you. They have come so much further than strapping some weight on a a vest like when I was a kid. This thing is actually comfortable to wear if you can believe that. With the straps tightened you can spread the pull down weight across different areas so it isn’t all focused on just your shoulders, which is very important.
