If you have decided that MMA training is something you would be interested in for getting fit, then you are going to need some MMA equipment to help you get started. It’s dangerous to get started on rolling with people without knowing what you’re doing, but it’s more dangerous to do that without the proper equipment. While MMA is all about fighting and submissions, wearing proper gear makes it as safe as it can be. Injuries are just an unfortunate part of MMA, but wanting to prevent them and get yourself ready for them is a better plan than merely fighting an opponent without wearing proper protection. Commencing a fight without the proper MMA equipment is like going into the ring completely naked and getting hit during an MMA fight hurts enough despite having the pads on, and so the fights would probably not last long if you weren’t wearing them and by finding the best gear at mma gear reviews. It is vital to have proper equipment when you are training since you will be challenging yourself everyday. This is especially true in the start because you are going to be defeated by others who have more work experience. Proper headgear is the one most important piece of MMA gear since it prevents long term damage. Whilst the headgear is not worn during actual fights, it can be worn during training to avoid yourself from getting knocked each day, and getting knocked out every several months is one thing, but getting bumped out every day could start causing problems quickly. Getting knocked out would halt your training without delay. You should also buy a mouth guard, which is as crucial in MMA as it’s in any type of contact sport. MMA is an ultra-contact sport, so protection is essential for the mouth and teeth.

Reviews On MMA Gear

If mixed martial arts training is one area that you want to get involved with, you will definitely should get some equipment before you start. It is not best if you start fighting before you have experienced proper training, but it is even worse to use it without getting the right protection. While MMA is centered on fighting and submissions, wearing proper head gear can make it as safe as it can be. Injuries are all a part of MMA, being self-aware can reduce your chances of injury immensely with the proper gear which you can see on mma gear reviews. Even with the pads on in a MMA fight, it hurts enough that the fight wouldn’t last for quite a while and going into the fight without having a proper MMA equipment is like getting into the ring naked. Equipment is vital in your training because you are using all of it day, everyday. This is true in the beginning, as more experienced fighters will beat you each and every time. MMA fights might be dangerous, and critical lasting damage to head can occur should you fight without proper headgear. Whilst the headgear is not worn during actual fights, it can be worn during training to avoid yourself from getting knocked daily, and getting knocked out every couple of months is one thing, but getting knocked out every day could start causing problems quickly.

Reviews On MMA Gear

Ultimate Fighting Championship introduced the world to Mixed Martial Arts. Fighters entered the ring using their own unique styles. Boxers could go up against karate experts, Kung Fu practitioners could test the skills against Tae Kwon Do masters. Even though MMA competitions feature different fighting styles, the fighting styles all have one thing in common. Their use can be dangerous. Participants needed to make sure they had protective gear, training gear, and the right shoe when they entered the ring. Coaches and athletes should avoid buying ill-fitting equipment, skimping on protective equipment, and buying the wrong type of shoes. The first mistake to avoid when buying MMA Gear is buying shit that doesn’t fit! A fighter need stuff that feels like it was made for them so it is imperative that you know what size or ask your coach what size you should buy since they are normally around different size of fighters. Discomfort in MMA gear at a fight should come from the match, not from what a person wears. The second mistake follows the first, but it is even more obvious. Protective gear prevents a fighter from suffering more serious injuries. Participants will suffer injuries, but the coach and the athlete wants to avoid suffering a career-ending blow. Punches, jabs or kicks that land in the wrong place can be fatal. The third mistake to avoid is to make sure is buying shoes that do not provide enough traction or breath-ability. MMA leagues do not allow cleats on the mats, but the shoes used should mimic wrestling shoes. Shoe soles should grip the surface and the fabric should allow the wearer’s feet to breathe.

Reviews On MMA Gear

Going to a Jui-Jitsu gym for the first time is probably not at all like you imagine. It’s no a bunch of guys waiting to choke you out or tear your arms off. And it’s not a closed-circle of lifelong martial artists who have no time for beginners. It’s actually a very inviting and open atmosphere. The thing about Jui-Jitsu that makes it so open to newcomers is that it is always evolving. From each position that you can find yourself in while doing Jui-Jitsu there are usually several options, some not even considered yet. So the sport is about learning and sharing. Taking a class in Jui-Jistu you will see this first-hand by how much chatter there is during lessons while people comment on each others’ technique and figure things out together. Now, as in any sport or class or activity, you may start to rule yourself out from doing it based on a number of things. You might tell yourself, I am too old/young, too fat/skinny, too loud/quiet, too this or that. The truth is that you will see people from all walks of life in a Jui-Jitsu class. Any personality differences are put aside as you step onto the mat and the objective of learning this art brings you together and takes over. The instructors have dealt with all kinds of body types so they will help you do what works best for you. I have been in gyms and taken part in sports all my life and I can honestly say that Jui-Jitsu is one of the funnest, educational, sports I have done. You look forward to going to class to learn and try new things everyday as well as perfecting things that you have already learnt. If you are looking for a fun way to get in shape, or a new skill, or you are serious about competing than I highly suggest checking out your nearest Jui-Jitsu gym.

Reviews On MMA Gear

How To Find Cheap MMA Gear Cheap MMA gear can be difficult to come by if you haven’t ever done it before. The problem is that if you find thing like; MMA shorts, shirts, or MMA gloves at a really good price then there is a good chance that they are actually junk. If you have access to the Internet then your chances of finding cheap MMA gear are going to increase. Here are the best places on the Internet to find the gear you need for a cheap price and in a decent condition. Craigslist Craigslist is an amazing place to find the MMA gear you want at an affordable price. You can search through the various cities and search the For Sale sections for MMA gear or martial arts gear and you will come up with a good list of products. After a few e-mails or phone calls and you could have all of the gear you need to train or stock your school for a fraction of the price. You can even swap or sell your gear in order to obtain new items that you need. Martial Arts Forums Websites like Lockflow, Submissions 101, Sherdog, and Bullshido to name a few all have forums where participants of MMA and other martial arts can join to talk their art and share their thoughts. They can also get together to swap their gear and find products at a significantly lower price than through conventional Internet sites. If you want to get involved and take advantage of some of these deals then you need to head over to these sites and start swapping with other martial arts enthusiasts. E-bay Ebay is by far the best source of cheap MMA gear on the planet. At any time you can get on-line and find hundreds of used items from gloves to uniforms, to punching bags and more. The downside of shopping on E-bay is you have to wait until the auction is up to see if you have actually won, but other than that you can pretty much get anything and everything all in one place. If you do a bit of searching then you should have no problem finding almost new gear at a super cheap price. If you cannot find all the gear that you want on-line then other good spots include garage sales, sports swap meets, pawn shops, and second hand stores. Most times the people selling their items won’t know exactly how much it’s worth and you will walk away a happy camper.

Reviews On MMA Gear

It seems that a popular trend emerging as of late is youth Mixed Martial Arts. Kids have always been participants of other forms or martial arts such as karate or Taekwondo, but in recent years more kids are taking up Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or MMA classes. Gyms have specific classes designed for young athletes to teach them the same things that adult Mixed Martial Artists are learning. There is no shortage of kids MMA gear that can help keep your child safe while they are training. Some people feel that teaching MMA to youth is bad because it promotes fighting and makes kids bully’s. MMA vs. Traditional (Taekwondo, Karate, & Judo) In reality kids MMA classes teach the opposite of what the antagonists believe. They teach a lot of the same principles that the traditional karate and Taekwondo schools do such as respect, working with others, discipline, self-defense, a positive attitude, and more. Yes, the kids are learning how to kick and punch but they are also learning when to kick and when to punch. They are taught the importance of not fighting outside of the gym and how to stand up for themselves without having to get physical. Youth MMA Classes Youth Mixed Martial Arts classes are no different than other youth sports. Parents assume that because kids are learning to fight that they will want to use these techniques on other kids. What parents don’t understand is that kids learn aggressive behavior through sports such as football, hockey, soccer, basketball, baseball and more. They are just as likely to find themselves in a fight on the football field as they do is their gym, except the kids in the gym will know better than to throw punches and kicks in anger for fear of being kicked out of the gym. Benefits Of Kids MMA MMA for kids is a good thing because it gives them an activity that they can take part in for the rest of their lives. It teaches them hard work and shows them that their success is determined by what they put in. It also teaches team work because if they do well then they represent their team and can root for their friends and fellow athletes. Plus the kids train together in class and help their fellow teammates learn various techniques. Before parents and the public judge youth MMA as violent and bad they need to do more research and attend a kids class to see what the children are actually learning. They may find out that their opinion was not what was really taking place in class.

Reviews On MMA Gear

In the early 1990′s the Gracie Family created the UFC as a way to showcase their unique and practical martial art known as Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. While jiu-jitsu had been around for quite some time it was the Gracie Family that gave it their own particular spin and brought it to mainstream America. Since the inception of the UFC and Royce Gracie’s domination of early events the number of participants in the sport has grown exponentially and a fighter pretty much can’t make it in the UFC without an above average knowledge of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu or more commonly called just Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. There are two categories within the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu category; gi and nogi. Gi Jiu-jitsu involves training in a traditional uniform are commonly referred to as a Gi or Komono like we talked about in our Gameness Elite Gi review. Nogi Jiu-Jitsu involves training without the gi (wearing just shorts and a t-shirt). In the early days training with the gi was a person’s only option, but as the sport grew and BJJ was incorporated into MMA the demand for nogi training became more popular. Essentially gi and nogi Jiu-Jitsu are the same, the only difference being that some of the techniques cannot be applied and some must be modified for nogi. Today there is an equal mix of people training in both types and you will rarely find a person who trains exclusively in gi or nogi. To train Jiu-Jitsu in a gi you will need to purchase one either from an instructor or on the Internet. The Internet is loaded with companies willing to sell you all types of gis, in various colors and with an infinite amount of patches on them. When you go looking for a gi you need to make sure that you are looking for ones specifically designed for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. If you already train karate or taekwondo or come across a website selling these types of uniforms for a low price then you need to steer clear. Karate and taekwondo uniforms are made of very thin material in comparison to BJJ gis and they won’t last very long due to the stress that will be placed upon them from regular training. The first thing you need to do when purchasing a gi is decide what color you want. You will find a wide array out there, anywhere from pink to camo; however some schools only allow the traditional colors of white, blue, or black and if you plan on competing in certain tournaments these will be the only colors allowed. Your best bet for your first gi would be to stick with a white one. The second thing you need to do when picking out your kimono is to look at the website’s sizing chart. It will ask for your height and weight and for the most part all sizing charts are pretty standard. Now that you know your color and size you need to look at things like weight and material. Some [...]

Reviews On MMA Gear

The Gameness Elite Gi is one of the new big boys on the block. Gameness has ripped our attention from the traditional Gi makers with the visual appeal of the Jiu Jitsu Gi’s. When looking at a Gameness Gi you can’t help but think, “Damn, that is a great looking gi”. However, do they last, how is the quality, and are they as good as the older boys in the market like; Fuji, Mizuno, and Atama? One of the nice features of this Gi is that it is pre-shrunk cotton so you can shrink to your exact taste. The Elite Gi models the Gameness Pearl Gi and features embroidered patches. Gameness Elite Gi Review One thing you will notice about the Gameness Elite Gi is that the feel is of a higher quality fiber then most Jiu Jitsu Gi’s. Top level Gi’s are more durable and have durability qualities such as triple stitching, heavy-duty collar, & reinforced knees to name a few and the Gameness Elite Gi has all these and more… Design Review This product review element is of course 5 stars because the look and functionality of this Gi is off the charts. You will certainly get plenty of looks when you walk into your school or tournament with this Gi on! Comfort Review The Gameness Elite Gi is as comfortable as other Gi’s so it isn’t anything exceptional. Since it has such high quality fabric it is rather heavy but I want a heavy Gi rather than a lightweight Gi. So, this Gi being average in comfort this get 3 stars. Price Review Okay, the price of the Gi is an investment. At around $240 it isn’t for the beginner who is wishy washy on whether this is what they want to do. However, if you are a moderate to advanced student then you know the value of a good high quality Gi so you aren’t buying one every year. Since this Gi is on the higher end of Gi’s I put this a little lower than average si it get’s 2.5 stars in this product review element. Here is a quick Jiu Jitsu Gi size chart if you aren’t sure what size you need Your Height Your Weight Size Gi Gi Weight 5-5’4 100-130 lbs A1 2.6 lbs 5’4-5’7 125-150 lbs A2 2.8 lbs 5’7-5’10 145-180 lbs A3 2.9 lbs 5’10-6’1 170-215 lbs A4 3.2 lbs 6’1-6’4 210-250 lbs A5 3.5 lbs Where to Get the Gameness Elite Gi Karate Joe’s: Gameness Gi

Reviews On MMA Gear

One of the most popular martial art training tools is the stretching machine. So, when I saw the upcoming review was the “ProForce Stretchmaster”, I was very excited. When it comes to a stretch machine this is the best of the best. When it comes to stretch machines some of the most popular machines people think about are the Tiger Claw’s Pro Stretch Machines or the Versaflex Stretching Machine. So, first what does a split stretching machine do and why would someone want one and last why would we want to create a Stretching Machine Review especially on the ProForce Stretchmaster? What do stretch machines even do? Stretching machines are a fantastic tool to increase the flexibility of anyone who uses it. Most leg stretching machines work by setting each leg into a leg extension. Once this is done there is a wheel, lever, or another cranking mechanism to increase the tension by spreading the legs further and further apart. The individual who is using the leg stretching machine is suppose to increase the tension until it becomes slightly uncomfortable. When this is achieved they are to stop and hold this for at least 10 seconds. After the set amount of time is achieved the tension is the released and the legs are returned to a normal position. Why Would Someone Want To Use A Stretching Machine?[pullquote]Why Would Someone Want To Use A Stretching Machine?[/pullquote] Leg stretchers are one of the most efficient and effective ways in which someone can achieve their goal of flexibility. It is easy to measure and keep a running log of where they have been, where they are, and where they are going. So, in short it brings a way to measure and continually increase flexibility until the desired flexibility is achieved. How The ProForce Stretchmaster Compares Although The ProForce Stretchmaster is one of the more expensive machine on the market it is without a double one of the highest quality machines. From the way ultra smooth steering wheel tension control to the comfortable leg extension padding. There are numerous cheap stretchers out there on the market that you can buy which are comparative in price, however this stretching machine will not leave you unhappy.

It is amazing how many Thai pads our gyms go through (as well as other MMA Gear). Most of them get thrown around and take some serious punishment from the heavyweight in the MMA Gym. So, a good high quality Muay Thai pad is essential in an intense MMA training routine. You can always get cheap muay thai pads for $40, but then you are replacing them within 4 months and realizing you should have just gotten a quality pair of pads to begin with for around $80 to $100. Today we are reviewing the new Extra Thick Muay Thai Pads by Century. When you open the box up after getting these in the mail you will be immediately impressed with the size of this bad boy. When you go to pick this Muay Thai pad up you will immediately see & feel the quality leather right always. One other nice thing about this Thai pad is that the corners and edges very round which helps when your strike is a little off target and for beginning MMA students. Price I have seen the Extra Thick Muay Thai by Century range from $80 to $100 online. So, the price isn’t pad when you are talking about quality pads. Some of the upper end pads are upwards of $160 for a single pad which is way to much for me. Quality Here at MMAFu we have worked reviewed and tested some of the higher priced pads and this Muay Thai pad from Century is just as high quality (if not higher). The hook and loop straps allows your forearm and hand be very secure in order to take on some of the big boys.

While MMA and martial arts in general are often seen as the preserve of men, there is no reason at all why women cannot get involved in the sport at all levels, from beginner to competitive athlete. Training for women is largely the same as training for men, but there are a few things for women to think about and some things that women could perhaps do differently. Women’s bodies naturally build muscle differently to men’s, and they have different fat/muscle percentages. Because of the different shapes of their bodies, women and men may be vulnerable to different injuries. There are also some particular benefits that women can gain from MMA training. Anything that increases women’s strength and helps them know how to deal with an attack will increase their self-confidence (even if they never need to put their skills into practice). It can also lead to general improvements in mental and physical health. These benefits also apply to men, of course, but for women who are perhaps juggling career and children, it can be hard to find the time to focus on personal well-being. MMA training can help with that. If you’re a woman wanting to get started in MMA training, or you’re already training but want to know how to improve the way you train, read on. These tips should help you make the most out of MMA training. Don’t be afraid to recognize difference It’s common for female sportspeople to think that they should be competing with the boys on their terms. Actually, you should be competing with them on your terms. If you want to get started in MMA and feel intimidated by a male trainer, or feel that you should be able to punch as hard or kick as fast as the men, re-think. Find a trainer and club who you feel comfortable with and who will work with you and your body to help you find the best way to train. If you’re already training, but concerned that you’re not as strong or fast as the men are, relax. The beauty of martial arts is that you only compete with those who are on a similar level to you: that’s why we have weight classes. A light man shouldn’t be comparing himself to a heavy one any more than you should be. Strength and Muscle For MMA Many women worry that if they train too intensely they will end up looking like Arnold Schwarzenegger. That’s not going to happen. Women’s bodies just aren’t designed to put bulky muscle in the way that men’s are. What they can do is make themselves stronger, without becoming huge. A well-trained woman’s body will simply look toned and lean, and will be full of strength. Injuries In MMA Women are unfortunately more prone to injury when it comes to martial arts during the course of training than men. That doesn’t mean you can’t train safely as a woman, just that you should be aware of certain issues and [...]

Reviews On MMA Gear

The sport of Mixed Martial arts is a blast! Everyone I know at the my MMA training gym does it because they love it not because they are getting paid to do it. So, since we aren’t getting paid and sponsors aren’t throwing MMA shorts and shirts at us how do we afford this sport? The answer to how we afford this sport if we aren’t professionals is we pay for it through out daytime jobs. So, this means that we don’t have endless resources of time and money to devote to our passion. So, we need to find the best deals online and at a local MMA gear store (if you have one nearby) that we can. First, you are doing the right thing by checking out a MMA gear review website like MMAFu. To get the best bang for your buck it is important to get as much information about the MMA product you are looking at buying. MMAFu specializes in breaking down the gear like anyone would who is a MMA fighter along with our scientific review process (talk about this later). We give you the metrics on each MMA product like; quality, comfort, durability, effectiveness, and more. We do this at MMAFu so you can make an informed decision about what is right for your situation. Since we are not aware of your exact situation we give you all the information about the MMA product and let you decide.

Reviews On MMA Gear

George St. Pierre (GSP) Rushfit DVD Review I am excited about reviewing the new GSP Rushfit DVD home workout system ever since I saw it coming out a few months ago. I have always been a big supporter the P90 home exercise programs which you can see here in our P90X2 review and thought this was similar. Since George St. Pierre is one of the best MMA fighters in the UFC and is known for his training regiment. He continually has the ability to tire out his opponent if needed since he is in top cardio shape. So, GSP knows what he is talking about when it comes to fitness and training, but can he get that across on a DVD? Now with the George St Pierre workout you have the chance to train with him and get ripped just like him with the GSP RUSHFIT Workout System. The GSP rushfit DVD system focuses on: Strength Endurance Core Stability Power Flexibility Balance and Agility Price of GSP Rushfit Compared to the system I talked about earlier the P90X this is a lot less expensive. So, there isn’t a comparison between the two when it comes to price. Rushfit GSP knocks P90X out on this one. What Comes With George St. Pierre Rushfit DVD System? There are 6 DVD’s with GSP rushfit & workout details: Strength & Endurance Workout Abdominal Strength & Core Training The Fight Conditioning Workout Explosive Power Training Full Body Strength & Conditioning Workout Balance & Agility and Stretching For Flexibility In this Rushfit review we have focused on overall health and fitness and not hardcore MMA training with skills like; Muay Thai, grappling, kickboxing, and other striking skills involved. So, this will not take the place of a MMA gym but will get someone into better shape.

Reviews On MMA Gear

Just a short time ago, Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos not only ruled the realm of women’s mixed martial arts, she was widely recognized as an unbeatable figure in the sparse landscape. After losing her professional debut in 2005, Santos would string together a 10 fight unbeaten streak, defeating some high profiles opponents in the process, while being forced to fight to the distance just twice. The Brazilian’s abnormally chiseled physique and pronounced jawline have long cast suspicions as to whether or not the former 145 pound Strikeforce champion is a steroid user. After failing a pre-fight drug screening prior to her December 17th, 2011 throttling of Hiroko Yamanaka at Strikeforce “Melendez vs. Masvidal”, the speculation can rest. Santos’ test showed traces of the popular steroid, stanozolol, which is commonly utilized to increase lean muscle mass while promoting rapid water weight loss. It’s also, quite obviously, a banned performance enhancer. Cyborg has made an attempt to play naïve, though it’s extremely improbable that she was unaware of the intake. Despite attempting to appeal the results of the drug test, Cyborg has been stripped of her Strikeforce title, fined $2,500 and suspended for one year. With Dana White openly stating that the Strikeforce women’s 145 pound division will now face dismantling (as the division was kept afloat to showcase Cyborg’s talents exclusive, as was also stated by White), a few lingering questions remain. Will Santos opt to avoid using PED’s in the future, and better yet, where might the dominant champion now compete? With the female division of MMA struggling to maintain its foothold with fans and promoters, the future appears extremely limited for the once praised powerhouse. With few American promotions hosting women’s bouts, we may well see Cyborg migrate to Japan where the talent pool is certainly deep; that avenue may also enable her to avoid drug testing in the future, as the Japanese have always been a bit more lax in regards to drug screening.

Reviews On MMA Gear

From a business standpoint, Dana White and Scott Coker would be wise to keep Luke Rockhold under contract with Strikeforce rather than expediting his transition to the UFC. Rockhold has openly expressed his desire to challenge himself within the octagon, and he’s certainly a talented enough fighter to compete among the worlds’ elite middleweights. That however doesn’t change the fact that Strikeforce must keep a firm grip on some of their stars if they hope to continue hosting high quality shows. Luke’s displayed a likeable personality, and a respectable as well as respectful approach to the sport. He’s also the owner of a finely polished skill set that’s enabled him to amass an impressive 9-1 professional record, capture the Strikeforce middleweight championship and hold on to it. In short, he has all the tools to be a legitimate star in this sport, despite the fact that he still flies under the radar due to the fairly limited audience in which he’s exposed to. There is absolutely no question in my mind that Luke is worthy of the big stage, in fact, he may be the divisions true dark horse. His wrestling far surpasses sufficient, his striking is particularly crisp and his resolve is quite admirable. We’ve rarely seen the current champion in danger, and he’s already toppled quality opposition that should, by all accounts, have forced the American Kickboxing Academy to overcome serious adversity; yet Rockhold has looked a monster among men over the last few years. If anyone has the potential to emerge as a top 5 world ranked middleweight, it’s Luke Rockhold. Having praised the talented youngster excessively, I must echo my sentiments about Rockhold’s current position. This is a fighter capable of drawing viewers, and he’s capable of putting on beautiful displays of violence. Moving Rockhold to the UFC just takes one more star from the UFC’s sister promotion, and furthermore, Rockhold’s association with Team AKA will likely lead to future bouts that should happen, but will not, thanks to AKA’s refusal to compete against each other. For the time being, Luke is the real deal dark horse: a man capable of reaching the summit that has yet to be afforded larger scale opportunities. However, it’s in Luke’s best interest to continue developing under the Strikeforce promotion, as he’ll be a bona fide threat to the title in just a few short years, given his evolution continues at the rate we’ve witnessed thus far.

Reviews On MMA Gear

The UFC Weighted Vest adds an increase of intensity to your MMA training. Like the Valeo weighted vest this allows you to change the amount of weight to increase or decrease the difficulty of your workout routine. I’ve had Reebok, Atlus, and the Valeo vests before, and this one just blows them away with the exception of the Valeo vest. The UFC vest is of lesser quality the one that Veleo makes. However, it is very comfortable to wear, and it feels like it uses a gel for padding which is unique to the UFC vest and it fits really snug which is a crucial element in weighted vests. UFC Weight Vest Review One of the most important factors in weighted vests is the comfort. Since they are heavy and tend to rub and produce chaffing against the skin it is very important that they fit securely so it won’t rub. One easy way to avoid this issue is to wear a rashguard underneath the vest. Design & Comfort The design of the vest feels like a suit vest, meaning it adjusts easily and becomes form fitting, allowing the wearer a huge range of mobility for free weight and cardio exercise. It looks like a flak jacket or bullet proof vest when you have it on so be ready for some strange looks from people if they don’t know what you are doing. Excellent to wear weighted vest while performing core muscle building movements, cross training, and cardio workouts. Quality One comment I did hear about this vest from one reviewer is that it started to leak after 1 week of wear. You will know if a vest is doing this by finding little bits of sand on the ground where you put it on and take it off. So, make sure you keep the receipt and you should notice quickly if there are any issues with your specific vest. For a weighted vest that is made with higher quality material you should take a look at the Veleo weighted vest, however it is more expensive then the UFC weighted vest. Value & Price Excellent value due to the lower price then the Veleo weighted vests. However the quality of this one is a little lower. Even though I didn’t have any issues with my vest there are reviewers that had a small leak open up in their vests after a week of wear. Book Description: This book is massive! With over 350 pages of no-gi grappling techniques. It is well written for the MMA combat student with instructors like: Greg Jackson & Randy Couture Antonio Rodrigo Nogeuira & Dave Camarillo Jon Fitch & Forest Griffin Neil Melanson & Karo Parisyan Which is a ton of talent for one book! The Grappler’s Manifesto explains the various phases: Guard Turtle Cross-body Front and back mounts However, there aren’t any take-downs like guard techniques, including sweeps, submissions, and passes. Things I liked About The Grappler’s Manifesto It gives you a game plan and breaks down different categories of Grapplers and how to attach and defend them. There is no small talk, it get’s started right away with details and ends with details. Most books are lopsided either in offense or defense but this book splits it right down the middle. Things I didn’t Like About The Grappler’s Manifesto The books layout and grappling techniques seem a bit random and not organize or thought out. There is nothing that explains who the guys demonstrating the techniques in the photos. Overall: I would recommend this book for anyone who is a beginner in Mixed Martial Arts and just starting out. However, if you are an advanced to intermediate level MMA student then you can move on since you know the moves and techniques already.

Reviews On MMA Gear

You know as well as I that there are tons of MMA shorts are on the market right now. They all have their own reason for ‘being the best MMA Shorts‘, but it is usually crap. From the ultra cool Velcro closures to the 55 way stretching material that will allow you to throw a triple spin heal reverse kick all while in mid-air! With all that being said Sprawl MMA shorts have been around since the beginning so they haven’t had to try and steal the market with outrageous marketing comments like I mentioned before. Here is what Sprawl themselves have to say about the Sprawl Fusion 2 MMA fighting shorts. The Sprawl Fusion 2 delivers the MMA fighter unmatched durability and features: A wider waistband for increased comfort and stability. A repositioned side slit to reduce ride up when working from the guard. Heavier construction for a new standard of durability. Some other nice things about these shorts is that they are sweat, dirt, and blood resistant so it doesn’t matter how much Bob from the gym bleeds when you hit him his blood wont’s stain your shorts. There is a new slit in these that help them not to ride up when you are in guard and this really works. My initial take on these shorts is that they are a good quality pair of shorts like we have come to expect from Sprawl. For the price they are probably the best quality shorts on the market you can buy. You don’t have to worry about having to replace them when you are buying these shorts because they will last the test of time.

“I don’t have access to a MMA training gym in my local town, and I was wondering if I bought the P90X2 workout system do you think it would help me train in MMA?” -Troy P. Answer: Although I think the P90X workout system and the P90x2 are one of the best fitness and workout training systems out there I don’t think it would take the place of authentic MMA Training. If you could do the P90x2 workout series in addition to a program like The PIT WORKOUT along with some technical expertise from Greg Jackson in his book The Ground Game, I think you would be moving in a very good direction in training for MMA since you don’t have access to a local MMA training Gym. So, if you take this advise you will be in great shape and on your way to learning some great fundamental ground game techniques from Greg Jackson’s book and well on your way in your MMA training. However, when and if you have a chance to get into a MMA school nothing is better then getting on the mat, ring, or octagon and rubbing elbows with other MMA fighters. Do you have a MMA related question about MMA gear or an MMA training system let us know in the comments below.

Reviews On MMA Gear

Suspension trainers like the TRX Suspension Trainer Professional Pack and the Jungle Gym XT review are starting to be incorporated into MMA training. Since MMA training is at the cutting edge of the strength and conditioning world it is important to utilize the latest equipment and gear in order to push the limits of the mixed martial artist and the latest way to do that is through suspension training. With that being said we wanted to cover 8 simple tips to use a suspension trainer for MMA training. 1. Make sure you have a clear goal on the MMA skills you are wanting to improve. This will help you choose the type of training and exercises you will need to do with your suspension trainer. With suspension training you will see gains in strength, conditioning, and flexibility all while reducing the risk of injury that can happen with normal weightlifting. 2. Schedule your suspension training alongside your MMA workouts and training. Suspension training is perfect to do before your actuall MMA training since your muscles are loose and flexible. 3. Continually change the repetitions you are doing. Whether you are doing slow controlled reps or explosive reps make sure you change up the number you are doing in order to shock your muscles into growth. 4. Change up your routines and workouts about every 3 weeks or 21 days. It can be as simple as first doing your MMA training then your suspension training. 5. With suspension training it is easy to coast, but don’t do it! You can easily change the intensity and difficulty of the excercises with a simple change in the angles but keep the heat up, don’t cheat. 6. After a good training session and workout make sure you treat yourself to a reward. 7. Make sure you get a full stretch at the bottom or top (depending on the exercise) of each rep this will create more power in the ring or octagon. 8. Stick to 10-15 minutes for your suspension training prior to your MMA training. If you are doing it post MMA training then you can push it up to 45 minutes, but no longer then that.
