In his first fight since easily dispatching of Kimbo Slice prior to EliteXC’s demise nearly a year ago, Seth Petruzelli earned a first-round knockout of local product and IFL veteran Chris Baten in the featured attraction of Saturday night’s Art of Fighting IV at the University of South Florida’s Sun Dome in Tampa Bay.

Petruzelli and Baten were content to stand and trade during the first couple minutes of the fight. Petruzelli was briefly able to take Baten down and achieved side control at one point, but Baten was eventually able to scramble to his feet.

M-1 Global has released the finalized card for its “Breakthrough” event, which will be held at the historic Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas on Friday, August 28. The six-fight main card will be televised live on HDNet in the United States and through Internet PPV internationally.

Standout wrestler and fast-rising heavyweight prospect Muhammed “King” Mo Lawal will headline the show against former UFC and PRIDE standout Mark Kerr. A special sparring exhibition between longtime heavyweight king Fedor Emelianenko and training partner Gegard Mousasi will also take place.
